It starts with Mork pounding on the door alerting the party to the challenge of Volta and Rayne kidnapping. As the party tries grasp what is happening a human rogue (levi) enters the room. He explains he is a friend and offers information about the coming fight as well as his skills in combat. All he wants in exchange is the parties trust and acceptance. His motives are still unknown.
The rogue shares with the party that Volta has a three pronged attack set in motion in order to regain their power and influence in Sanjak. This includes first a public example and execution of heretics or betrayers of their brotherhood. Victor the first and main Volta Leader will perform these himself absorbing their life force to show his power. The second prong is Stang. Known as the enforcer he will randomly attack in the crowd killing and disabling many. This is designed to inspire fear and panic in the general populous making everyone feel unsafe. The third prong is Damon. As the head of reflections (secret police of Volta) he will have mirrors set up showing a number of powerful enemy leaders. These he will proceed to publicly execute in their secure locations showing that no one is untouchable to Volta. He also mentions that recently the leaders of Volta have been at odds and may not be as united as they once were. After the rogue explains this plan stating that Rayne is due for execution Aki pulls a mirror from his pocket. Glowing with magic it portrays a scene from inside the arena. It shows victor preparing this executions and calling out for the "Champions of Volta's enemies" to show themselves.
The Group listens to Victor through the mirror as they run for the arena. Lance casts fly on everyone during this time giving them all advanced movement speed and agility. Once in the arena Victor calls out a derogatory "Are these your champions"? He is about to monologue for a while thinking the party will take time to get to him and trusting he can fly away. However, our heroes do not give him a chance. Within one round Raath and Krahven have charged the length of the arena through the air to Victors side and taken extreme prejudice against his frame. Aki and Lance also charge forward keeping a distance and using spells against their foe. Aki heals the victims on the stage ensuring that Victor cannot drain their life. The rogue perceives that there are more vampires in gaseous form on the field of battle but they are not showing themselves. Victor then steps back and dominates the will of Krahven attempting to use him to hold Raath back so he can continue casting. This proves futile though and Raath full rounds his hide dropping him to 0. Turning to gas to try and escape Aki takes the opportunity to fly above his head and burn him to extinction. In half a minute the main leader of Volta is dead. Before he gives his final breath the words "stang... damon... why?" escape his lips. Once death has claimed the only visible enemy Raath takes this moment to try and save his friend Rayne. Entering the mirror where Rayne is held he quickly finds that it is a one way street.
With Raath now out of the scene Stang takes the moment to attack Lance. Striking him multiple times and draining his energy. Lance cries out in pain and flees. Krahven steps up to ensure Lances escape but is unable to hurt the monstrosity. The rogue also tries to shoot Stang but fails as well. Taking courage Stang does a full round on Krahven and seriously injures him over the next few rounds. By the end Krahven is 5 levels down and below 10 hp. Stang has taken punishment too from the rogue backstabbing him and Lance and Aki taking their shots. He strikes out with what he can but in the end Stang succumbs to his wounds. Right before death the Rogue points out that Stang like Victor was left alone to fight. A look of recognition and betrayal crosses Stang's face as he is pummeled with magic missiles from lance. He turns to gas and incinerates.
During this fight Raath sits in a room of mirror with Rayne. Finding a small man staring at a mirror admiring himself Raath tries to break him free from his cage. In two hits he shatters the mirror. The man first furious at its destruction soon recognizes that he is emaciated from want for food and falls unconscious and likely dying on the floor.
Damon then show himself calls out a final challenge, thanks the heroes, turns invisible, and enters the mirror where Raath and Rayne already are. Lance calls out cowardice and backed up by his party he moves the crowd to cheer for Volta's demise. In the crowd there are many spawn that go to gas form and try to leave. The crowd quickly turns violent trying to keep them and kill them. In this mayhem caused by Lance's much talking a fireball goes on in the entrance to the mirror. Raath and Rayne take damage putting Rayne in even worse condition and killing the man on the floor. Damon calls out that he is not finished yet and states his desire to kill the party. The party for a second seems daunted by his improved invisibility. Then all at once, with few spell points left, and beaten down Lance, the smallest of them all, calls out encouragement and dives through the mirror. The rest of the party quickly follows. Flying to the middle of the room Lance studies the magic and is able to pinpoint the location of Damon. Raath and Krahven both charge. Raath misses and hits the thrown and Krahven is stopped by a Dire wolf that leaps from a nearby mirror. Aki tries to heal Rayne and is able to stabalize him before death takes him. The bulk of the party still unable to see Damon chases wildly to try and hit him. The magic missiles from Lance give away his position once again but the party still has trouble landing attacks. Then the rogue gets an idea. He take oil from his bag and pinpointing the spot with lance's help flings the oil on their invisible opponent. The oil immediately disappears. Discouraged the team once again is no closer to seeing their enemy. However, lance with spark ignites the oil putting flame on Damon and making his position and general being apparent to the entire party. Without hesitation Raath full rounds his back ripping this robes and dealing significant damage. Damon tries to retreat triggering a few more dire wolves to come from the mirrors. Summoning a bat swarm on Raath and flying to a distance. However, his attempts to distract and detain fail and flying above the wolves everyone charges and surrounds him. Granted the rogues rapier is sucked into a mirror leaving him unarmed but Damon is still seeking retreat. Casting expeditious retreat on himself he tries to flee the scene. However, the barbarians rage is not daunted. Using his rage to his advantage he follows Damon out the false wall behind the thrown and continues to attack him. Lance, Aki, and the rogue also follow throwing hits wherever possible. Finally Raath flies out and lands a final blow in a charge dropping Damon to a dangerously low life. At this moment of peril he shifts his tactic. He bows before the party lowing to the ground and extends his staff out in front of him. "If the rolls were reversed I would not spare you". He states. "But I am not your true enemy". The party hesitates with the killing blow. It is all Lance can do to stop Krahven from crushing Damons Skull and the rogue practically has to restrain Raath talking fast and smooth to bring reason to his mind. With the party calmer or at least controlled Raath begins to question Damon. "We were not the cause of the Demon within you" Damon says to Raath. "Or you" he motions to Krahven. This gives the party enough information to spare Damon's life. Seeing him as a powerful source of information and knowing him to be Lawful the party decides to strike a deal. Damon gets to live with the oath on his coffin that he or his followers will never cross the operations or the party. Them and their allies are safe from all negative actions that Damon might cause. Plus Damon is bound by oath to provide the party with information if he has it. While his alignment is still evil this contract is set and a make shift alliance is formed between the Dread Vampires of Sanjak and the Midas Clan.
As the party returns from this endeavor they carry the staff of Damon in hand. They retrieve Rayne and return to their home. Lance exhausted beyond reason. Krahven also exhausted and 5 levels down still. Rayne shredded and in need of medical attention and Raath confused and shaken. With a new found friend in the rogue and a new ally and source of information in Damon the party returns home a level higher and victorious.

OOC: That sounds like it was quite epic. I'm glad you guys were able to save Rayne.
